Thread: Free speech?

I do realise that Judaism and Christianity and Islam were basically the breakup of a club , so the origins are super close. Being agnostic, the subtle parts might be lost on me,
but Islam is a little out there for you surely. So... if you identify as being a follower of sympathetic to Islam , makes me wonder which flavor you are, a Sunni or Shiite ? Imagine calling yourself shite with a double I. Maybe no sense of humor in the bum sniffing, magic carpet driving community.

Judaism follows the Talmud and basically rejects the Old Testament. Here are some links:

I have picked my religion which is the Old Testament. I associate with Islam because that is the currently practiced religion that is closest to the Old Testament.

Do you even know the difference between Sunni and Shiite? Anyway, I attend a Sunni mosque.

You don't have to be religious to learn about religion. Religion is a key driving force in history, so you have to understand religion to understand history.

Very true, I love learning about history. I'm always watching Documentaries for example.
To be honost, I don't know the difference between Sunni and Shiite. All I know is Sunni is the majority of maybe 80% and they sometimes don't get along and happen to like killing each other sometimes. For me I thought that was enough info to steer clear of the middle east and Indonesia. I imagine it's a bit like Catholic and Church of England.

More like the Catholic and Orthodox with the Shiites being the Catholics and the Sunnis being the Orthodox. Anyway, this difference isn't important. Here is a good movie about how Islam started:

And this article gives a good explanation of why I support Islam:

Schmidty, a two hour video ?
I don't think we'd agree on much, but I do give you full cred on being prepared and I like that you can hold a conversation and
    again prepared for your argument.
I guess, you are banging up the wrong tree with me, but people are welcome to take a peek.

Free speech is a funny thing. You either allow it or not. It's like being a little bit pregnant.
I'm on the side of letting everyone have a good say.
What terrifies me is the lack of freedom of speech especially by the left of politics.
    Censorship is rife.
If Schmidty or others have a view on censorship, I'd love to hear some chatter...

Geez I leave for a minute and you all have a conversation without me.

Hoax boy you're being very kind somehow. I'll read back and likely pop a vein in my head.

I posted a lot of links, you can read or watch what you like. But please tell me what is the next movie that you are planning to watch and why is it a better use of your time than the movie I linked to. The movie I linked to is an American movie (from when America was still good) that is entertaining.

These thoughts of freedom of speech are interesting. Perhaps it should be re-posted here at some point.
    I skimmed, but valid points.
Free speech is trying to be re-defined by the left IMHO>
    More on this soon

Your readers should be able to follow links. Make a new thread about freedom of speech and I will post relevant links here. Here is another one:
